Winchester sits east of the Strip in the central valley, around Sahara Avenue and Desert Inn Road. Its central position means short drives to the Strip, the airport and downtown, which is why location often comes first for buyers looking here.

Questions to ask about a central-valley home

Closing day details

Before closing, you do a walk-through to confirm the home is in the same or better condition than when you first saw it. If repairs were made, schedule one walk-through about six days before closing and another just before the final day. You sign at the title company, or remotely with a notary or at a U.S. Embassy if you are abroad. The home is yours once the signatures and funds are in and the sale is recorded.
